stephen, You are mangling several issues into one. This makes it difficult to answer.
1.) I cannot agree to foregoing trial and killing right away for economic reasons. We are talking about civilization here (mostly: "how do we deal with Bad people"). However, if you want to go into this: the federal military budget is so totally out of proportion, no one knows how many zeros that number has. So to putting him to trial would cost two or three bombs at most. That is not much compared to the operating cost of an aircraft carrier.
2.) About those death tolls (and this is very difficult to use in an argument): how many Americans died related to the event we now call "9/11" compared to how many Americans died in the following wars?
3.) Yes people do care a lot. Some care so much they go out of their way and belittle dissenting voices, or call names.
4.) I did not tell you to shut up or to leave. So from my point of view you can still post whatever you want here, regardless of how little I agree.
5.) I will not go into all those provocative maneuvers you put in your post. I consider myself too grown up.

I agree I might be a sorehead. However I was trying to make a point of not calling any names.
so, tomos, I am sorry I have offended you, it was not my intention. I did not want this to become personal, much less did I want to insult people.
However, this episode confirms my decision to take some time off and cool my head.

How can I still talk with you with you people if you condone even appluad killing a person, even more so killing without trial? I mean where is justice without a justice? I am so sad, I don't know what to do. This used to be the nicest forum in the world. But right now I find it more and more repulsive. This is actually the fifth attempt trying to express my feelings in a more or less coherent way. Should I ragequit? Should I speak up in that forum? Should I stfu>fo? Is this still my forum? I go cry now...

I am neither "over" nor "under" because I don't have a holder for toilet paper. I have a neat pedestal of sorts within reach, it's been convenient enough for to not bother putting a holder on the wall.
So I get around the over/under dilemma - but I could start a new argument about the orientation of the roll of toilet paper: clockwise vs counter-clockwise. I don't mind when guests mess up orientation of the roll, but I do mind when they put it somewhere else entirely. ...that would be a good argument in favor of installing a holder, IF I had many such guests.

Of course this only works on people that are literate. Otherwise the brain won't be able to make out the word images from which it reconstructs meaning and stuff. I have seen this text all over the internets. Now they should make a study about writing in such a way I guess it would be much harder than reading it.

Special User Sections / General Review Discussion / Day of the Review - link/create/renew reviews

Looking back at the superexceptionally successful fund raiser campaign I thought it might be a good idea to have a campaign for reviews as well. Since reviews are not as essential as funds, the effort will be less: not a whole month of frantic updates and watching the moneymeter grow but maybe something less elaborate. Let me elaborate (haha, pun intended): How about we have a month-long campaign for reviews, but only set aside one day of each week. That way it would run for a month --enough time for the newsletter readers to catch up-- but won't occupy people too much. The idea is to look for reviews on other sites and post about them on review day; or to review older reviews and renew them (if that's possible: some of our reviews are very exhaustive, redoing them could become exhausting); or to post newly created reviews on this very day. I want to include external sites so we can build a library of reviews if you will. There might be lists of reviews out there, but I don't think they are maintained by the fine Donationcoder folks. What's your take on this?In our irc channel this idea was regarded with favor Which day should we pick? Should we try for a month and optionally extend for another month?

I wonder how much CO2 is bound by those weeds. I guess it's less than what the alleged grow lights cause to release.
And there are other ways to cultivate weeds that do not require so much energy, but patience and a little bit of technical skill. I mean if you can grow tomatoes indoor, a weed should almost grow by itself.
OTOH I supported Prop 19, so I am biased against any such reports.
