questorfla, can we move this to the Finished Section?
3  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: diagnostic tool on: Today at 03:36:35 PM
because the same problem happens even when I connect via different networks

Assuming this is network-based lag, this doesn't rule out much.  Have you done traceroutes to the server(s) in question?  Any large latency jumps along the hops?

and my hardware is well above the required specs

So, the game runs fine by itself (or in a single-player mode)?
4  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: diagnostic tool on: Today at 09:05:20 AM
I know for sure that there isn't a network problem or my hardware being weak or something.

How do you know this?  What steps or tests have you taken to eliminate these two things?

I'm trying to find page-size of PDF's - PDFInfo shows the page size in points** - I found very little info in the Xpdf page - do you know if this can be changed to metric (or anything else) within PDFInfoGUI ?

I'd have to write the conversion routines myself in order to do that.

This took a bit longer than expected but here is another beta version with lots of additions, changes, and fixes.  Before you use it, make a backup of your epCheck folder.

MAKE A BACKUP...PLEASE...

Get it here: http://skwire.dcmembers.com/apps/epcheck/epCheck_beta.zip

Changelog, so far, for this beta:

Website | Download
v1.1.3 build 63 - 2014-08-02
+ Added a "Profiles" option that allows you to create multiple lists of
series.  For example, you could create a Watched list, a Cancelled
list, an Ended list, etc.  Check out the Options tab to create new
profiles.  The profiles feature is currently a BETA feature and needs
some testing.  As such, there is a good possibility that it might not
work as designed and your epCheck data might be lost or otherwise
      munged.  Make backups.
+ Currently selected profile is shown in the statusbar.
+ Added "Move to" and "Copy to" profile options when right-clicking a
      series.
+ Added the series air time (EST) and network to the both the series
and weekly listviews.  (Thanks, Daniel P.)
+ Added status column to listviews.
+ Added icons to tab labels.
+ Added right-click search menu to the Search tab so you can now more
easily find web information on the search results.  (Thanks,
      kalvanotherwhen)
+ Option to allow ESC key to close epCheck.
    * Changed "Load weekly view on startup" option to "Load weekly data on
startup" to avoid confusion with the startup tab option.
      (Thanks, hamradio)
    * Moved the "Show special episodes" option from the Options tab to a
      toolbar button.
! Fixed some issues with the right-click web search menu.
! Episode display format was not saved and applied properly.  (Thanks,
      kalvanotherwhen)
! Removing a profile wouldn't properly remove data folders for series
that didn't exist on remaining profiles.  (Thanks, vamiz)
! Fixed a nasty HTML encode/decode issue that could result in epCheck
getting stuck in a race condition.  (Thanks, S. Mainey)
10  DonationCoder.com Software / Finished Programs / Re: DONE: automated mp3 rip from video clip on: July 29, 2014, 12:21:47 AM
Any ideas?

Are you running it from a UAC protected folder?  That's about the only thing I can think of.

I just tested it with a six gig MKV and it seemed to work.  That said, I never really designed this app for such large files.  It was initially made for small YouTube clips so you might be better served using one of the more full featured video-to-audio converter programs out there.  There are a myriad of them for sure.
11  DonationCoder.com Software / N.A.N.Y. 2014 / Re: NANY 2014 Release - epCheck on: July 28, 2014, 11:55:01 PM
The show is "Crossing Lines".

Yep, definitely looks like garbage in, garbage out.  TheTVDB.com is set up like a wiki so, if you're inclined, you can create an account and fix that data yourself.  =]
12  DonationCoder.com Software / N.A.N.Y. 2014 / Re: NANY 2014 Release - epCheck on: July 28, 2014, 01:49:41 PM
I'm getting some programs on my list show up in the Weekly view but they aren't actually scheduled, at least not in my area. What location is EpCheck pulling the schedule from?

The schedule is compiled by epCheck internally based on dates from the data files.

PS - Hmm, worse yet when I double click on those entries I am taken to J River Media Center webpage for that show and it says there that the first air date was yesterday - July 27, 2014! It was actually on the air last year. It appears the problem is with bad data from J River.

Ugh, that huge J River Media Center advert at the top of the page is so misleading.  You're actually taken to the theTVDB.com webpage for a given episode.  But, yes, if the data is bad, the weekly schedule will be bad.  Garbage in, garbage out, as they say.  Which show is it?

Minor icing-on-the-cake type request:
F2 to edit list name

Added in the latest build:

Website | Download
v1.0.6 - 2014-07-28
+ Pressing F2 now works to edit a checklist name.  (Thanks, tomos)

Assuming Listviews accept Unicode characters, this simple hack should work, hopefully...

I played with this hack a bit more and it works fine for shorter strings.  However, for longer strings, it seems to truncate the output when updating the row with the struck-through data.  So, unfortunately, I won't be able to add this.

Nice little hack.  I'll see what I can do to incorporate it.

I'll see what I can do about this, too.

First and foremost, thanks for a great application, really saved me hours of checking for episodes asf. Regardless of whatever minor bugs people talk about, with/out, this is the closest and best solution I've come to managing an ocean of shows I follow, in a very longtime.

Thank you for the very kind words.  I'm glad you've found the program useful.

Now my reason for posting this, besides conveying my thanks and gratitude, is the sudden stop, so I were wondering perhaps I had missed something, I'm kinda an update junkie >.<;;

Nope, you haven't missed anything. I had just been waiting for more feedback on the Profiles feature but I guess no news is good news.  I have another build with further fixes and tweaks that I need to upload.  I'll do that when I get back from holiday.

Personally I was reluctant to donate as I had myself convinced it would end up in a commercial form, but if your leaving it as is, I'll throw some coins your way, just because of the hours you've saved me fiddling around with retarded websites is rather priceless.

Nope, not going commercial with it.  As mouser mentioned (thanks, bro), I've been writing freeware for a pretty good while now and have no intention of going commercial.  It's a fun hobby and I intend to keep it that way.

Please forgive any typos or formatting errors as I typed this from my tablet in the hotel room. :]

I'm going to be out of town for the week so here is the utility as it stands.  If you want more functionality out of it, I need you to answer my questions in the post above.

It's not a major issue, specially if it's only happening with me Wink  I really like the program, and your support to it. Will keep on following your developments! Thanks!

Thank you, for your efforts.  I've sent you a PM regarding sWeather.  =]
21  DonationCoder.com Software / Skwire Empire / Re: Release: sWeather (tray-based weather app) on: July 19, 2014, 09:49:47 PM
Ok.. tried again and again.. The icon always disappears from my tray after a re-start and the "Reset tray icon positions" does not solve the problem. Tried in the menu and with the right click/reset in both icon and temperature... also the F6
All the rest is working perfectly after adding a 3rd location..

Thanks for thoroughly testing this.   thumbs up  Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to fix it.   Sad
22  DonationCoder.com Software / Post New Requests Here / Re: Simple Utility to find the value of a specific key in Windows Registry on: July 18, 2014, 06:41:03 PM
PS:  For Skwire;  If the post I sent also did not capture the links I can try again.
What you are offering is far  more than I expected, even if they know the contents of that key, the best I can do is tell them
"If Skwire's gadget says you are an "008C" they click HERE and make the HERE be the link to the right update.

Is the expectation that the users will perform their own updates?  Or, is the expectation that the users run this utility and report the value back to you and you will perform the updates?  The reason I ask is that the three links leading from the https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2936613 page are really next to useless.  If you don't trust them to be able to get a single registry value on their own, I can't see how you can expect them to perform this update on their own.

Again, I need you answer the following questions:

1) Can you post or PM me the actual string you have?  If possible, I'd love to see several examples from your users.
2) What do you want the app to do/display?

I'm happy to write this utility for you but, sometimes, it's hard to separate the wheat from the chaff in your posts, so I need you to be as concise as possible in your answers.
