@bastik: I've quickly read through the post but I need to devote some time to studying it a bit.  I've got a few other app requests to fulfill first but, rest assured, this is on my agenda.

Thanks for both of your last two posts.   Thmbsup  I'm currently working on some improvements to ClipTrap but SFV Ninja is next on my agenda.

Hi, Saladyne, and welcome to the DonationCoder site.

Great program. Would it be possible to add an option to have a list of PDF files saved as individual cbz or cbr files rather than merging them?

To clarify, you want one cb* file per PDF, right?

Very cool. Because I am a bit dense (and new), is there a way to update sWeather without unzipping the file again to its directory?

No, there is not.

+ Added 'Feels like' temp to the tray tooltip.  (Thanks, Ken Z.)
! Hopefully fixed a long-standing bug with the temperature icon not
displaying the correct temperature.  This had to do with the fact that
Windows 7, at least, does not appear to like 1-bit colour icons in the
      tray.  Crazy...

So I opened up epCheck to do the manual steps and it was refreshing the series data it came up with error:
There was a problem unzipping the series data. You might have to run epCheck as an administrator.
I am running as an administrator, so is this a serious issue?

Nah...happens sometimes.  Does restarting epCheck help?
8  Special User Sections / N.A.N.Y. 2014 / Re: NANY 2014 Release - epCheck on: December 13, 2014, 12:36:32 PM
Thanks for the reply...I am not too sure how to do it manually, so if you could give me a step by step that would be great  smiley

@wallman2001: Here you are.  If this proves too complicated, I'd be happy to do a TeamViewer session with you where I can remote in to your computer (with your permission and authorization, of course) and do this for you.

  • Search for an add any show.  Make note of the show name and the profile name you added it to.
  • Go to the Series tab, find the show, right-click and use the "Web Search > TVDB.com" option.  At the end of the URL is the show's ID number.  Make note of this ID number.
  • Close epCheck.
  • Use a file manager (Windows Explorer, etc.) to navigate to the "data" folder within your epCheck install folder.
  • Open the <profile name>.txt file in a text editor.
  • Find the line which corresponds to the show you just added.  Modify the ID and name as necessary.  Save the file.
  • Open epCheck, choose the correct profile, and you should see a row with your desired show.  Right-click it and choose the "Refresh series data" option.
  • Done.

Just installed the beta with the monthly view. Can you please add the option to allow "Monday" to be the first day of the week? I hate calendars with Sunday as the first day!

@J-Mac: No promises, but I'll add it to my list.   Wink

Hi, wallman2001, and welcome to the DonationCoder site.   smiley

Hi...I have just started using your software and it is a great tool.  Just having one issue that I am not sure about.  I am searching for a show, i.e. Eye Candy  and it is on the TVdb site (http://www.thetvdb.com/?t...s&id=278448&lid=7) but it doesn't show it under the search, no matter what I try to search under.

This is due to the fact that the TVDB.com website search and its API search don't return the same results (for whatever reason  undecided).  What I mean is that you can search for "Eye Candy" directly on the site and it's listed in the results.  Searching the same string using the proper API doesn't return the show.  Rather frustrating for both of us, eh?

That said, if you're inclined, you can modify the appropriate profile file in your epCheck data folder and add the show manually.  Kludgy, yes, but it'll get you the show in your epCheck install.  Let me know if you can't figure it out and I'll give you a step by step.

Finally, if you're interested in testing the latest epCheck beta, read this post: http://www.donationcoder....36877.msg368839#msg368839

The APK installed and ran fine on my Moto X (2014) and my Nexus 7 (2013) both running KitKat 4.4.4.  I didn't totally try to stress test it but the small run-through I gave it seemed to perform fine.

Hi, Gadgetman496 & kevlar_heart42, and welcome to the DonationCoder site.   smiley

It's as if the date is incrementing but the name of day is not doing so until quite a bit later.

I've noticed this as well at times and, like you mention, it happens if the RSS feed is late/incorrect.  Fixing it might be a bit tricky but I'll see what I can do.

Thmbsup Based on the recommendation in GHacker, I have installed sWeather. I agree that for a low footprint/high content application your software is hard to beat. Count me in for a donation after I futz around with it awhile. Many thanks -- all of my former "go to" weather applications got smashed when their RSS feeds were changed or became too costly. If you have a Beta program, sign me up.

Thank you for the kind words and donation.  They're much appreciated.  There is no official beta program, but I do sometimes release early builds that are announced on this thread.

I'm confident NirSoft has such a tool.

I'm only aware of NirSoft's ServiWin but I don't believe it allows you to save/load a profile whereby you can start/stop a list of services.  Were you referring to a different tool?

And there I was just making a joke about a possible mockup image  Grin

Nope, not a mockup image; I actually designed it that way from the start.   cheesy

Would it not be better to have the ability to chain from one profile to another rather than have one hotkey that calls two at the same time ...

That's how I had planned to do it.  That is, profiles would be executed sequentially, not concurrently. However, that does make me think that it might not be a bad idea for one of the profile "actions" to be the launching of another profile.  I'll give it some thought.
23  DonationCoder.com Software / Skwire Empire / Re: (Pre) Release: sChecklist on: November 20, 2014, 03:41:04 PM
Say, Skwire, in the screenshot at the top, you have the sort-checked-to-top and sort-checked-to-bottom buttons in your toolbar.  How can I have that?  My commands are trapped inside a dropdown-menu-button.

I moved all the sort options to the drop-down button a few builds ago.

Also, I notice that "sort checked to bottom" also sorts the list alphabetically.
That is not what I expected - I expected it not to rearrange all my carefully organized list but to just moved the checked items to the bottom.  There is "sort alphabetically" if I wanted automatic sorting.

You make a good point.  Let me see what I can do.
24  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: windows services manager. such a thing? on: November 20, 2014, 02:50:40 PM
Is there anything that will quickly allow me to toggle a bunch of services on and off?  For example, if I want to do a lot of photoshopping, I want to disable a bunch of unecessary services to speed things up.  Then I want to reenable them again once I'm done.  is there anything where I can make a few profiles or something and toggle them?

So, you can do this with a couple of batch files and the "net stop <service name>" and "net start <service name>" commands.  However, you have perfect timing.  If you can wait until next month, this is what I'm working on for NANY this year:

[attachthumb=1]

It's called Splat (Simple Profile Launcher Application Tool) and will allow you to build profiles that allow you create list of applications and services to start/close/kill.  You can insert delays based on number of seconds or cpu usage threshold.  Also, you can assign each profile a hotkey as well as use one hotkey to execute multiple profiles.  It's sort of like a GUI version of App's Lacuna Launcher.
