2  DonationCoder.com Software / Screenshot Captor / Re: LATEST MiniCap VERSION INFO THREAD - v1.08.02 - July 05, 2006 on: August 17, 2008, 02:19:04 AM
*Bug: MiniCap chokes badly when trying to scroll-cap a browser page that contains flash (Firefox).

*Request: Have ESC (or abort from the context menu) end MiniCap completely as it currently opens the editor when wanting to cancel a capture.

Thanks

4  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: foobar2000 0.9.5 on: January 05, 2008, 01:09:31 PM
I got a chance to play around with it today. It's A LOT better than it used to be, at least from the perspective of it's interface. smiley

I'll stick with Winamp though.
5  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / CyLog Software: Tons Of Useful Stuff! on: January 05, 2008, 11:50:47 AM
CyLog has quite an impressive collection of software and utilities here.

Just a few examples:

3D Dissolve (This screensaver is freakin' AWESOME!!!! Old school goodness)
A fascinating colorful 3D screensaver that transforms 3D objects. The Beauty of Mathematics!

6  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / RunMe Application Launcher on: January 05, 2008, 08:20:36 AM
And some other very impressive, beautifully skinned software over at KSoft.

RunMe runs incredibly fast and smooth. You can even replace the crappy start menu with it if you don't want it docked...docked to almost any place you choose to move it. smiley

8  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: SysInternals auto-installler & auto-updater! on: January 03, 2008, 03:29:47 AM
Nice! Nirsoft should do this also.
9  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: foobar2000 0.9.5 on: January 02, 2008, 01:44:13 PM
What F0dder said...Foobar's a massive pain to configure the interface. Look at the thousands of Winamp skins. Double click and you're done.

11  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: teracopy: copy your files faster on: January 01, 2008, 07:41:09 AM
I'll make you a deal...give me a license for Teracopy and I promise to keep my mouth shut. (I'll also refrain from posting the mooning smilies). I'll even make a post saying how great you are everytime Codesector software is mentioned for the next 6 months.  cheesy
12  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: How much have you downloaded, in the tray? on: January 01, 2008, 07:35:55 AM
Yeah, the latest DU Meter is pretty nice. BitMeter is a great free alternative.
13  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Adware on today's GAOTD: Chameleon Desktop on: January 01, 2008, 07:30:33 AM
Here's a bunch of other "Chameleon" stuff.

huh Strange....very strange indeed. I used Chameleon clock awhile ago actually. Never had any problems. Author added my skin to the package. Never offered me a free license though. Sad
14  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: teracopy: copy your files faster on: January 01, 2008, 02:41:18 AM
Ouch! That's outrageous! I think we should all boycott Codesector!
15  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Adware on today's GAOTD: Chameleon Desktop on: January 01, 2008, 02:37:46 AM
Wow...that's pretty lame. So much for having an opinion or even having the change to discuss it.

I know it tries to download one of their other programs but are there really ads bundled with it?
16  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: How far can you throw a paper airplane on: December 31, 2007, 09:17:25 PM
16.827 Meters...second try.

First try, 1.7 meters.  cheesy

Hmmm...128.867 meters....ranked 177145
17  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: post your 5 most used applications in 2007 here! on: December 31, 2007, 08:06:50 PM
  • Notepad2/WinRAR (I knew I could squeeze it in somewhere Wink )
  • Locate32
  • SlickRun (Recently switched to Executor)
  • Firefox
  • QTTabBar

Should be "50" most used. :p
18  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: code project browser (!) on: December 31, 2007, 07:49:10 PM
Oh, I think it's awesome. What's not awesome is the ton of email I get from them....even after disabling the feature.
19  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: code project browser (!) on: December 29, 2007, 07:11:25 PM
Great, more code project spam.  Angry
20  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Adware on today's GAOTD: Chameleon Desktop on: December 29, 2007, 07:10:13 PM
Frank Cho is awesome! Chameleon Desktop....oh so terrible.

I tried it for kicks, thought maybe I could score some free Vladstudio wallpapers out of it. The installer attempted to download and install some other crap. Whoever designed that GUI needs to seriously read up on GUI design. I couldn't even find a way to close it. Had to kill the process manually.

Bad Curt, bad!
21  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Sprankle Character Map on: December 28, 2007, 08:24:15 PM
So what does it NOT work in? Works with everything I've tried.
22  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Print Calender on Desktop Wallpaper? on: December 28, 2007, 03:51:51 PM
mnemonic mentioned John's Background Switcher a while ago. It's freeware and can add a simple calendar.
23  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Sprankle Character Map on: December 28, 2007, 03:46:45 PM
All it needs to do is route through the clipboard. Simple fix really. Obviously it must be extremely difficult to implement. Wink
24  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Sprankle Character Map on: December 28, 2007, 10:08:40 AM
Sprankle is a handy keyboard activated character map. Find the character you need with leaving the keyboard.

Win+S to activate. Shift + key shows uppercase menu. Choose a number to select and it's pasted.

Can't believe I just found out about this. smiley

Source included.

Maybe just me, but that list was not what I was expecting. Kinda like first time sex. Sad
