@Vurbal @AbteriX @worstje:  Thank you all for your reply, sorry i couldn't reply quick. Was out of town for some work.

To refine my understanding of batch commands and parameter. I hope i will be able to do something with these explanation.
Thank you all for taking the trouble to explain in details.
No other forums does, what it does here.
I am glad to be here.

2  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Note/Idea taking software! on: March 20, 2015, 12:45:46 AM
I tried Cinta notes, although it does the work, but i quite don't like its big clips that are stored in the Control Panel.
I found another though, PNotes Download, its 95% what i am looking in for a clipper
and almost got it. But anyways thank you for suggesting.
3  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Note/Idea taking software! on: March 18, 2015, 01:19:14 PM
Hello coders,
i just wanted some name of a software or some suggestion which does the job of taking notes/ideas and reminders on the go.
Some name i have comeup with are Cute Reminder, which was given as a Giveaway few weeks back and Swift To-do list.
I found out Cute Reminder to be very good and extemely light where as Swift to do list was clunky inspite of all its bells and whistles.
I will take the chance and download whenever there is a new giveaway for this product.
But for now, i think you have got the picture.
A software that have hotkeys and by doing so would allow access to take note, idea or a reminder on the go.
Not like those Calender reminder, i have had enough of those kind.
I just want a note taking software that integrates hotkeys too.

Thank you.

p.s: Any freeware and shareware.
4  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Recommendations for a free image viewer with strong editing features on: March 14, 2015, 04:02:57 PM
I use Irfan View for quick view of images, which also does some mild editing for me.
But to make some editing, i use Fast Stone Image Viewer, it can also be made portable, settings can be
backed up.
It does most if not all the functions u mentioned.
5  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Diffference between Switces and Parameters in Batch file? on: January 29, 2015, 11:50:44 AM
Hi folks, i want to understand some differences between Switches and Parameters. I usually make batch files for compressing files into rar and zip
and opening different application to run. It works fine. But lately when i dig more about making batch file, i come across this term called Parameters.
I hardly do use it and i want to know from some experts what does it differentiates from Switches.
I google and try to get some definitive explanation but there are tonnes of it and i am not able to put one simple definition in my head.

I found one site that explains Parameters:Command line parameters
Quote
Batch files can only handle parameters %0 to %9

%0 is the program name as it was called,
%1 is the first command line parameter,
%2 is the second command line parameter,
and so on till %9.

What do i understand about %0, and %1 till %9. How does it can be applied in batch file.

Any suggestion from experts would be greatful.
6  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Some unknown webpage opens itself after starting my PC! on: December 17, 2014, 10:10:45 AM
Thank you Shades also OP for providing some assistance, i only had RKill v2.4.5 and Cleaner v1.2.8 , so i proceeded to download JRT AdwCleaner and also used CCleaner and a performed a regscan their. So far i havn't noticed any change in my PC and those annoying pages has stopped popping. I'll take that as problem fixed. I just don't like any add-ons on my browser. It might help some people, but i make a backup of my bookmarks of Firefox,Outlook and Chrome and these add-on acts as an obstacle their.

JRT v6.4.0 Download
RKill v2.4.5 Download
Cleaner v1.2.8  Download
AdwCleanre v4.105 Download
CCleaner v3.08.1475 Download

But i'll still not use anti-virus lol, its not that i m not heeding your opinion, it just slows my pc. I have a decent pc with dual core , 2 GB ram and 3.0 Ghz processor. Whenever i'll have a drastic situation , then restore would the way to go. But these kind of annoying things are rather best fixed and opt to a drastic restore.
Thank you guys.
7  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Some unknown webpage opens itself after starting my PC! on: December 16, 2014, 07:17:36 AM
Hello folks,
lately i noticed , after when i boot up my pc , i open webpage to browse and check my mails. But i noticed after some time like about 30-40 mins
some webpages opens it by itself. There name are mentioned below.
Quote

They open in Internet Explorer and in Mozilla Firefox, sometimes different links but it opens at the same time.
Since i have a habit of downloading some stuffs from internet late at night, i usually restart my pc so that unknow program is not consuming my memory and leave the
download to complete till morning. When i wake up in the morning the same webpage's open in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, those webpages contains
some video about weight lose which plays by itself. But i notice my download is not complete, it consumes extra bandwidth.

I know i don't download adware or some useless junk from the net. I had my share of experience, so i think those junk must be downloaded by my other family
members. So what do i do to stop this, do i perform a reg scan , i don't use Anti-Virus, it just slows my PC. I have backups and whenever i face a problem i do a
restore. So what do i to stop this anonymous webpage from opening by itself and how did it get in the PC.

Any suggestion is welcomed.

I use ClipDiary.v3.4. Can delete database, create hotkeys, numerable numbers of clips, sounds, remembers the number of files, folders copied, pasted or moved. Knock yourself.

I tried everything mentioned in the voting poll list, but still find the default Windows Explorer unbeatable. LMAO
13  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: IrfanView Shell Extension on: November 01, 2014, 12:55:55 PM
Thank you for the heads up.
But i rarely use any plugins for Irfanview, i use it strictly for image viewing and making short quick avatars for forums,  and also for image conversion
combined with Faststone Image Viewer.
Nothing beats this combination, even with or without plugins.
14  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Game ScreenCapture by FRAPS ?! on: October 19, 2014, 01:38:03 PM
Hello folks, i am using FRAPS for capturing game. It records in avi file and after recording the game, when i further proceed to play the video in KM Player or VLC in fullscreen , it doesn't cover the entire screen, the left and the right part are black.
Please see the picture for what i mean.

Screenshot of image of the video when played in fullscreen. (Image viewed in IrfanView)

Fraps Version 3.4.7

Is their a way , i could change the FRAPS settings, that could capture the game screen, and when played in VLC or KM Player also the covers the entire screen.
Is that possible.
15  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: How can i achieve this kind of video effect! on: October 13, 2014, 12:16:35 AM
I'm still fuzzy on what you are doing.
I'm familiar with the NCH audio SDK, and I understand their methodology. They're very much into broad usage.
If I'm reading you right, you should be able to do all of that in the NCH software that you are using already. You just need to adjust the timeline.
Check their documentation. I checked, and that software you are using can do video.
Basically, you should only need to insert what you want in the time line.
Most DAW and NLE software works very similarly. I wrote my own software to work similar to a lot of DAW software.
I have already completed the presentation, all i want now is to insert another video with small effects before the slideshow starts.
I am taking a look on some NLE Softwares.
16  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: How can i achieve this kind of video effect! on: October 12, 2014, 10:41:02 AM
@40hz: yeah i think people half here hasn't understood what i meant. But i'll try elsewhere.
@Renegade: i am using NCH PhotoStage Slideshow Producer Professional v2.52, this slideshow application can add videos, music and images in its timeline and sync them to the slider position or anywhere i choose, its a little versatile tool. I found it useful to my need.

I tried my hand at Adobe Flash Professional CS5 , and i had to learn a lot of of smorgasbord of information which was a turn off for me. Lot of learning curve required, although it could creat a swf video and simple vector art movies to my interest but its output was just limited to swf file.
Quote
NCH PhotoStage Slideshow can create the finished project to avi, mp4 ,fla for youtube or make a DVD movie.
I already completed my presentation and i wanted to add a little video effect before the slideshow begins to make it professional and  factual.
Thinking now, i just want a small and simple video effect and not content creation , that is already done.

But people around here are great at suggesting software and discussing some latest subject.
To be frank i think i asked at the wrong forum, but i am not disappointed.

Guess i'll post in some other forum.  Sad
18  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / How can i achieve this kind of video effect! on: October 11, 2014, 12:17:33 PM
Hello friends,
last time i asked how i could loop a music to extend it for a long time. That is solved, this time i want some suggestion on how can i achieve something like this, please download the attachment, its a video , before the presenter starts discussing some topic on some subject this kind of video happens before he speaks or after.
I do not want that same kind of effect, but rather much, much simple than that.
I want something simple inserted in my presentation to make it much more convincing, influential and factual.

Hope you understood it, i don't think Adobe Flash Professional CS5 can achieve that. Can someone help me, some video editor.
Video download link.
Thank you.

Ps: The file is 3 mb and i have uploaded, please download from the link.
19  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: extend a mp3 music! on: October 09, 2014, 12:41:13 AM
Using the "ReplayGain" function of the .mp3 format, you can do a lossless reduction of gain, that is, if your presentation software supports the ReplayGain function.  It's just a tag in the mp3 header, so any mp3 tag editor that supports the ReplayGain field will do:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReplayGain

Mp3Gain can apply the same sort volume normalization via psychoacoustic analysis that the ReplayGain function does, and does a handy job of it, whether on Windows, Mac or Linux.  The only caveat is that it manipulates the file directly, so it's technically not lossless though it is reversible:
i was able to achieve both the extension of 17 sec sound to 3 min and reduction of the volume by Envelop tool and i got the desired results.
For a simple and free tool like Audacity,it does more than those expensive application. Although not underestimating them, but sometimes some
good things come for free.
I got what i wanted for free. Anyways thank you all for your reply, i got some insight in this matter and will help other when the need arises.
20  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: extend a mp3 music! on: October 02, 2014, 11:48:12 AM
My software does it (mostly). Send me the file and I'll get it back to you looped for 3 min exactlly.

What you're asking for can only be done in looping software or a DAW.

Some good examples of software that is well suited are:
For the volume reduction, that's a bad question. You need to know where it will be mixed, and the best thing to do is to mix it in there with the volume reduced.
Thank you Renegade for extending your hand.
But i already looped the music and converted the music to wav and further converted it to mp3 by using iWisoft Free Video Converter.
The only thing remaining is to lower the volume of the music.

@tomos : Thank you for the link, i am checking on it.

Here is the music:

21  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / extend a mp3 music! on: October 02, 2014, 10:09:56 AM
Hello! i have a 17 sec mp3 file, that i want to insert into a slideshow presnetation , which is 3 min's long.
Is there any application, that can make a 17 sec music last till 3 min.
What i mean is repeat that same music over and over again like a loop for 3 min. Also can i remake the entire music with the volume slightly reduced.
Few programs come to my mind and one is Audacity.
Hope it is understandable.
22  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Free Alternative to CopyWhiz (Piky Basket)? on: September 25, 2014, 11:39:15 AM
Actually all those software are pretty useless, i h' been there done that.
I don't see any reason to replace the default Windows copy/paste feature.
Works well without third party software.
23  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Free Alternative to CopyWhiz (Piky Basket)? on: September 25, 2014, 03:17:11 AM
Try TeraCopy its a freeware, download from here.

Edit: Link removed.
24  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Looking for calendar software on: September 02, 2014, 06:35:10 AM
Those kind of software are useless. Tried it , didn't at all find it practical, just consumes memory for sitting in the notiification bar.
25  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Send email from cmdline ! on: May 16, 2014, 01:29:17 AM
To send a text file named "mymessage.txt" as the body of the message to joe@email1.com, you'd do something like this:
blat.exe mymessage.txt -to joe@email1.com -from hulkbuster@myemail.com -subject "This is an email" -server smtp-server.location.rr.com -u hulkbuster@myemail.com -pw hulkbusterpassword -debug
The -u and -pw options might be needed for authentication; your ISP would want to make sure you have an account. The -debug option should show you the conversation between Blat and your ISP, which can be extremely useful for troubleshooting. I just used the Roadrunner server name pattern for this example.

Is this process of correct first to install:
[copy or print]
Blat -install <server addr> <sender's addr> [<try>[<port>[<profile>]]]
Blat -install smtp.gmail.com myadd@gmail.com 2 587 hulk

Sending an email:

[copy or print]
Blat -install <server addr> <sender's addr> [<try>[<port>[<profile>]]]
blat.exe mymessage.txt -to joe@email1.com -from hulkbuster@myemail.com -subject "This is an email" -server smtp-server.location.rr.com -u hulkbuster@myemail.com -pw hulkbusterpassword -debug
or
blat.exe c:\a.txt -to joe@email1.com -from hulkbuster@myemail.com -subject "This is an email" -server smtp-server.location.rr.com -u hulkbuster@myemail.com -pw hulkbusterpassword -debug
