[Options] Added options on "Print Options" tab to use default units/page orientation, which should remember last used values.

Sorry but it hasn't fixed this for me. Keeps "losing" the margins I set  e.g. Check ScreenshotCaptor.ini file and what seems the appropriate lines are as below

printop_marginbottom=0.6
printop_marginleft=0.6
printop_marginright=0.6
printop_margintop=0.6
printop_position=0.6

Yet the File -> Print has the margins all at 1 cm. Is it because I am selecting margins < 1 cm ?

Print margins are not being saved / remembered between sessions in 3.06.01 and as far I can tell "all" previous versions e.g.

1) Change the margins to 0.6 all round, orientation to landscape print & fine.

2) Exit program, go back to print dialog and all the settings are back to where they were before I changed them

This was listed as being fixed back a while ago in 2.58 (unsure of exact release). Any ideas or suggestions ?

Can we please have rounded highlight boxes.

The text boxes for arrows already has this so it seems code for this is "sort of" already present .

Can we have the option for rounded corners for Highlight boxes. It is an option for the highlight text for arrows so the code would appear to be mostly present.

Bumped into another screen capture tool & while checking reviews saw a reference to scrolling captures in Screenshotcapto which I had never used. Quick view of the demo on this site (nice work) & it looked very slick. Tried it out on a web page & came away very very impressed     ! Takes a few steps but then it has quite a bit to do.

Excellent bit of coding and I have a fairly regular need/use for it.

P.S. For me it does excellent work with Firefox (my main browser) and I have a heap of addons installed including "Yet Another Smooth Scrolling" which I though might give it trouble. In my quick testing it didn't work so well with IE.

Regarding the cut off W, I have two questions:

1. Does the W still appear cutoff when you LEAVE editing mode?

2. Do you have antialiasing disabled completely for objects (see object editing tab)?

What I'm getting at is -- is this bad text rendering only happening when text is in anti-aliasing mode.

Text has always behaved a little "oddly" in ScreenshotCaptor, at least to me i.e.

a) It has always rendered as a little blury (even when Blend mode was normal)
b) The w and v don't lay out properly (kerning ?)
c) The font size seems odd Arial 16 was selected in both programs but display at radically different size.

Bugs ?
1) When you use the 'Splice out strip by defined selection [DELUXE]' (*) Undo doesn't work (at least for me). Seems to work everywhere else even with the new [DELUXE] ragged borders etc. so is this a bug ?

2) The bug I reported where objects get left where they were put when you remove a section by  'Splice out strip by defined selection' is still present. This is not a major bug as I said when I reported it you just have to remember to remove first and then apply objects otherwise you have grab and relocate all the objects.

(*) The ragged effect is very nice once you get used to how to drive it  

Thanks for the update but have a few requests still outstanding (at least I think they are ...)

1) [Medium] Default Blend mode for Text Boxes and Highlights
This is still Multiply and you can't seem to change the default (*). The problem with Multiply is that Red simply disappears when the background is black.

(*) couldn't find anything specific in the settings but scanning through the ScreenshotCaptor.ini file I find several reference to Blend that were not there before (?). It may now remember the selection of this.

2) [Minor] 'SpecialFX splice out strip'
Still hasn't got it's own tool bar button . I like the new effects added but as I use this feature frequently it would be really nice if they did get them ...
Only downside of the having the new "Deluxe" is it needs potentially two toolbar buttons.

However, can we please change the default highlight rectangle/circle mode from what seems to be the new default of "Multiply". Why ? Because red on black in Multiply mode gives no highlight at all   e.g.

Re "splice"

1) It does work well. I use frequently.

2) If you use highlight/outline and then splice the image moves but the highlight shape stays in the original location so that after the splice it is misplaced. [a]

3) Any chance of getting Splice Toolbar buttons or the option to add them ? Please

Works fine for me. Both XP SP3 with up to date copy and Windows 7 Pro 32 bit with out of date copy.

Maybe the non-English version of Windows or the "really old" version of ScreenShot Captor - my example below was running 2.93.01

Small point. Download page still says 2.99.01 but you actually get 2.99.02

Still hoping for a tool bar button in the next release. A little odd for me as I am very much a "keyboard shortcut king" (i.e. I like and use them a lot) but then the graphical nature of the program lends itself to using the mouse so hence in this case my strong wish for a tool bar button.

Is the hot key in in 2.91.01 as it doesn't work for me.

2) No, don't use the "blur" as the line is too narrow. If I want to do that I fire up Paint.Net, linked in via the toolbar & Screen, and cut out a strip to indicate a section has been removed. Not as fancy as Snagit but works pretty well for me.

Would be nice if could add any command from the menus to the toolbar but would be a lot more work than just adding the Splice commands.

1) Can we please please please have the SFX -> 'Splice out strip' commands as buttons 

2) When you use a Splice command and you have highlighted rectangle they don't move up (even if you have saved the image) and if you then un-do they don't move back to the right place. Not a big deal as you learn to do any Splicing first but would be nice if this was fixed.

It seems to me that the refresh problem for the thumbnail /Screenshot Panel has been fixed in this release. Have been running this release since it came out and so far, touch wood, it seems to be all good !!!

it dosnt save the cm/inch thing, i need to fix that.  i think if you set it in inches it will remember.

Unfortunately no, it seems to keep resetting it to 1 regardless of unit selected  . Can we please have this added to the list of fixes.

Question, re print settings - they don't appear to be saved as they revert to original settings after reboot i.e. when I print I set the margins to 1cm all round and next time I boot there back to 1 inch.

Regarding #1, I have completely rewritten a nice new thumbnail panel system but i just have to tweak it a little more before i integrate.. it solves the refreshing and is better in a bunch of ways.  what i have to do is get the normal right click file menu to work on it.

I thought i solved #2; i will look again.

What I have worked out is that when it does not start minimized correctly it has overwritten the ScreenshotCaptor.ini file. Having taken a backup copy of this I can (via a simple batch file) exit the current running version, restore the .ini file and re-start ScreenshotCaptor.

Installed new release and it seems to have fixed the start-up bug but the following are not fixed

1) Thumbnail refresh (visually extremely irritating and makes it almost impossible to rename a screenshot from the thumbnail pane)

2) Seems to usually not retain settings for many areas between boot up e.g.

- highlight settings (inner colour & border thickness)
- text box settings (background colour, font size)
- arrow settings (arrow head size)

Sigh. Still waiting for these to be fixed ...

1) Not impressed that it automatically took all my existing files and placed them in subfolders without asking (hint, a prompt would have been nice). Resulted in a "WTF !" but was easy enough to work out and undo.

2) Flickering looks improved but not really sure if it is fixed (here is hoping).

3) Still have the problem where it sometimes forgets my settings for highlights (specifically 'Inner Color' off and 'Line width' = 3') plus the hiding the file comments area.

4) Have a new intermittent (but frequent) problem where the Screenshot captor appears in the task bar at system start. Have set to start when system starts. Please note this started with 2.77.01.
