Hi,

I can really recommend AJC Active Backup. I use it for years for the same purpose and it saved me a lot of times.

Its very easy to set up and to use and doesn't tend to bog the system even if you have a quite a few folders to backup / watch. And its fast and saves space because it only saves what have changed and not the whole file everytime you make changes to it.

http://www.ajcsoft.com/active-backup.htm

Included is the free AJC Revision Archive

http://www.ajcsoft.c...revision-archive.htm

There is an important option to backup open files so AJCB makes a snapshot the moment you save a file even it is still open in the application. This feature will not work with every type of file because some applications lock there files when they are open but then AJCB will make a snapshot as soon you close the application and the file is unlocked.

Have a great day.

Thanks Curt, I already found this site but it seems only a mirror because you can neither download nor buy anything or send a support request

General Software Discussion / What happened to abc amber?

I use some of the great converters of abc amber and tried to visit there Page looking if there are updates but it seems there is no page anymore.

Is there any information what happened to them?

Thanks

Hello wraith808,

thank you for trying to help me. At least I now have the filenames of the videos. Maybe someone has put them somewhere online.

I already tried to contact the owner but the email from the site you gave me isn't existing anymore (email come back with an error). I also tried to get the address of the owner or any other emailaddress as it seems that ideamason was a family product (Kevin and Victoria Miller from Carson City)

found here: http://www.nvannualreport.com/entities-DLLC-MASONWARE-LLC.aspx

but with no luck. Maybe someone from the US can help me to find them - I'm from Germany. But maybe it is not worth for the Tutorial-Videos?  :-\

I'm glad the site was still open because Ideamason has one of these stupid online-activation methods you have todo every time you want to reinstall it. I don't know if is is legal but the version for download seems to be without any restrictions and can be used without entering a key. Its definitivly looks like abandoned because I really tried hard to find anybody for the last two weeks.

I'm really a bit angry about this guy. He could at least send out emails to his paying customers telling that he is going to shut down his site a few days before he did it.

Thanks again and all the best.

Hi,

it seems there has been a mistake. I'm not one of the winners but just got an email from Dupetrasher support with my license information.

Can anybody help so that the one who deserved this get his price and tell me what to do with the info sent to me. Just delete it?

Thanks.

Hi everybody,

I just found out today that Ideamason has been abandoned in May.   >:(

I always wanted to save the Tutorial Videos but forgot about it. Has anybody of you saved these videos and is willing to sent them to me or is there anywhere some form of archiv to still download them?

Thanks!

Find And Run Robot / use digit to open directory
« on: October 06, 2009, 03:36 PM »
Hello,

I searched the help and forum for a while but couldn't find what I was looking for.

When I do a directory search and press "5" or "Numpad 5" for the fith entry in the result I open that directory in the search string and have to press enter to open it.

Is there away that the digit would open the directory directly in my prefered file manager like it works with opening files?

Thanks!

Hi Carl,

I'm the (undeserved) winner of MusicIP Mixer and wondered myself if there was a mistake. I haven't used the serial number and would like to give it back so someone who really deserves it get another chance.

Just tell me what to do (just delete it or sent you an email or whatever).

Regards,

sorry, a little of topic, but does anybody know what happened to CD Bank Cataloguer (www.qunom.com)? Is it an abandoned project or did it move to another website?

Thanks!

General Software Discussion / Re: Sweet! Direct Folders 3.0 released :)
« on: September 22, 2006, 11:17 AM »
alxwz, thank you for telling about that background switching option. This is really great.

I informed Jeff, the author of DirectFolder about this and he just e-mailed me that he has implemented this ClickSwitch feature among a few other changes. Version 3.1 is ready to download and the history file says clickswitch works with Explorer and TotalCommander.

21
Please count me in also.

Thanks!   :)

22
WOW! This is great. Thank you so much!!!   :D

Sure, no problem, I can help you set it up like TC.  I can't do it right now since I am in a rush, but let me show you what it looks like, just for you to have an idea.  I have a screenshot of it in the following thread:

http://resource.dopu...?t=1459&start=15

Basically, what you have to learn is how to make a saved layout, and how to make custom toolbars.  The rest of it is fiddling with it a little.
superboyac,

sorry for my late answer, but I've had no internet access for the last two weeks.

Thank you for the link. It looks great and I will try to do the same with my DO. I'm still at the beginning to learn to use DO but your Tips are very helpful.   :)

Again thank you and all the best.

24
Hello and Happy New Year to all.

superboyac, I'm a new user of DO and a longtime user of Total Commander. I would appreciate any help and it would be great if you could show me how you did your TotalC-Layout.

Thanks

Skrommel's Software / Re: Can't disable DragKing
« on: October 05, 2005, 11:48 AM »
Hello Skrommel,

it works now. Great!!! Thank you so much.  :)

Is it possible to make it easier to enalbe/disable it instead of the TrayIcon like a Hotkey , commandline-parameter or some other kind of toggle?

Also it would be great if it the current status could be temporarily reversed while pressing Alt for example so that when it is disabled it will work while pressing Alt and if it is enabled vice versa. While playing with it I would prefer to have it disabled and only enabled when needed.

Now you only have to come up with an idea for pasting!  ;)

Thanks again for you help.

Regards,
Peteg05
