Thank you all for your suggestions. I finally managed to program the END key as a trigger and scrolled 500 pages pressing END and PGDN on after another 500 times. It sound more scary than it really is. At 1.5 second interval per page that is only 750 seconds. Took like 15 minutes to do. If I had to do that many times I would with a scripting tool and VBA to sendkey. Thanks again.

I've searched this Forum in vain, trying to find a way to simply send a PgDn command after a Screen Capture. Just can't seem to find the solution. Certainly I am not the first one trying to do that. The idea is to capture each page of a pdf document on full screen mode. For each page I must trigger a Screen Capture and than trigger a Page Down. And loop like this for over 560 pages. Each extra PgDn button to press is cumbersome and could be avoided if I could arrange ScreenShot Captor to send a PgDn to Acrobat for automatically changing the page after the capture is done. Even better I could AutoCapture the pages and than send a PgDn. This would minimize human intervention to a simple start. So, basically, the question would be : How can I send a PgDn key to Acrobat using the Post Capture CommandLine tool ? Or, is there another way to do this ?
Thanks for your help

Screenshot Captor / Re: ScreenshotCaptor - Auto Capture modes

Thanks Ath, I tried your suggestion and found quite useful the SysExporter. Unfortunately, for my specific application it didn't work. The Tree-view window that I wanted extract did show-up in SysExporter main window showing 2717 items (which make total sense), but, even when selected, didn't show any items to export. I did some reading on the help file. Usage is pretty straightforward. I tried with other applications and SysExporter work well. I don't know what is wrong with my particular app. I suspect it include some well thought strategies for preventing data extraction. Any ideas about what I can try next ?

Thanks for your help

PS: By the way, it is 60ish pages per windows not 600. I have about 40 files containing from 30 to 2500 entries each, appearing in PageScroll of about 40 items per page depending on the window size. That is a lot of data.
If there is a way to avoid OCR and reading mistakes, I sure would prefer that.

Screenshot Captor / ScreenshotCaptor - Auto Capture modes
« on: January 10, 2017, 02:11 PM »
I've been using Screenshot Captor consistently for years now. I think it's a very great piece of software. Though, the help file will need upgrade eventually. Presently I am trying some of the more advanced features like the auto capture capabilities. Cant find any help with my specific needs.

Challenge: I have a  Windows scrolling list that I need to capture but it is very long, like some 3000 entries. Obviously I cannot put all entries on a single image. I need to process the information on an OCR software. It is going to be Acrobat. The list content is very simple. It consist of numbers. One single column on 3000 lines. My approach is to capture one PageDown screen for each image. I will end-up with some 60 images (60 files) that will all be converted to a single big 60 pages PDF file. Then Acrobat will OCR the whole thing and I will finally have all my entries available for text search.

I found that Screenshot Captor has a PostCapture capability. Probably useful with my approach but I need some guidance as to how I can program that Post Capture IDE.
Basically, I need to make a loop that will

1- Capture one single Fixed Region
2- Send a PageDown to the window
3- Goto step 1 to repeat the process until I have covered all the available pages. Something like Loop Until 60 iterations (or so).

Look simple indeed. But where can I get the language reference for this PostCapture IDE ? How does it work ?
Where should I start looking ? Where can I get some examples of a loop process ?

Thanks for your help

When I install Win7 on a computer most people are asking to see the common Windows Clock and Calendar on the Gadget Sidebar. They are nice but are missing some so useful features like an embedded stopwatch in the clock gadget and a timer in the calendar gadget. I would like to see a Clock Gadget with the possibility of setting as many stopwatches as I want and to be able to trigger any Apps when the time is up. And for the calendar, why not the possibility to trigger an audio file or pop up a text box or trigger an App when a date and time occur. That, I would really like to see.
I don't know how complex programming would be involved but I bet it would be a winner!

Screenshot Captor is a best-in-class tool for ...
And in my opinion it deserve the comment big time. Thanks for this App Mouser
I wanted to bring your attention to an old comment that I just read about another similar need that have been filed by skwire
See     Request: Left-mouse-click triggers a PrtScr press in the background « on: October 15, 2009, 10:11:46 AM »
Your Screenshot Captor include many ways to trigger screen capture but not this one implemented by Skwire.
I just wanted to let you know that it would be a nice feature to add,
More precisely I was thinking of triggering the screen capture by pushing a combination of say: Control + Left Mouse
instead of having to go click on the tray icon every time you want to screen capture.
In my particular case I need to screen capture a rectangular area of about 3000 screens.
Each one must be area selected.
You can imagine that the least action per capture I have to do the better it is, considering this many actions.
Just an idea...

Thanks... Viau
