i can understand how all these options you guys are suggesting might seem wonderful for a diverse posting program. but what i am trying to accomplish is to keep all of the posts consistent. No extra user options means uniformity.

I want to create a forum when programers can list thier work, but i want a standard format to be followed. To accoplish this i figured a simple progam could help. here is the layout i came up with on my friends Visual Studio 2005 (using visual basic i guess) i do not know how to program and was curious if anyone could help. Plus if it was open source other forums could modify the code for thier own sites.. Is this a good idea or what?

first result at snapfiles was the best and only real kind of thing i was looking for, at least in the first 5 pages. here is what snapfiles says:

I would say:

Great simple program. while it does have more features and options than i was looking for, they all were a suprise, especially since they all seem useful. and this is so close it is fustrating at the area i found it to fall short in. when you get your results form the date calculator came out like this:

Months:0
Days:0
Hours:5
Minutes:349
Seconds:20940
MSeconds:20940000

i could find no option to vary the output to 5hrs 49min, while easy enough to figure out still missing out on the comlete "Ease" of what i am looking for. again if anyone wants to tell me where i could learn how to program i would appreciate it sooo much. thank you for your help guys.....

-mock screen shot- cool that you like those. i will spend more than 10 min next time, i like making that kinda stuff.

i will respond backwards to these
#2 i did try tucows, yahoo and google with no freeware simple program. but i will check snapfiles.
#1 i have only coded html for simple crud pages. no real skill needed kinda stuff. so i would be new programmer, mabye too new. where would i start to learn? i learn best in person 2 person teaching, then visual and lastly reading only. again thanks for you time and help.

i am using mirc 6.16. if the script could highlight the word and when i click it that makes the popup that would be cool. i really hate typing so if someone said bunny rabbits i could choose a bugs, fluffy, or stew recipie reply i would have a great tool for easier days. i always figured these computer things are supposed to make life easier right, so why not push it to the max thank you for your help also guys.

oh i know i cant have a bot, at least i don't think so....
another idea i was curious about is something that will listen to an irc channel and when ever keywords you set from a database are said a pop-up shows with thier corresponding reply options. so if some one says president you would get a pop-up that shows all the presidents. only idea i had was for database format like this

lets say it's feb 15 5:36PM and you need to know how long ago you made your New Years Resolution before just breaking it, so how many months days bla bla bla. screenshot should explain what i mean. would this be hard?
