This might be overstepping your intended use of program, but what about adding the functionality to have separate timers for specific user created prompts?

For instance:

-Daily Diary
-What is your weight today?
-How much cheese did Mouser eat?
-etc..

Obviously, if this was to be added a way to differentiate between the logs would be needed as well.

Sure, I could have it check say, at midnight, and it have it pop up a message box with items that are within two days of expiration.  That way, the message box is there for you first thing in the morning.  Is that along the lines of what you're thinking?

Yes, that would be perfect!

Thank you very much for this!  I live alone and constantly throw stuff away because I forget that I bought something and don't remember to eat it.  I don't have the luxury of roommates trying to steal my food.
Any chance a future version could have a tray icon with an alert system to remind me to eat a food that is about to expire? :)

This could save me a lot of money!

One of the scripts I'm most fond of is one that adds icons to gmail that gives most screen space to the long list of labels I have.

General Software Discussion / Texter (LifeHacker)

The creator of Texter (text replacement software with some scripting abillity) posted the entire AHK code so someone will hopefully help his program develop.

I thought this might be a good challenge for coder here to tackle!
