Um, that would be good.  :D I'm really bad at graphic design, so I'm just lucky if I can understand a small amount of what you just said. :P

I like it! Thanks, Loki!

I've been thinking about it lately (I haven't had internet the last two days,) and I was thinking that maybe I would like the logo to have a wire somewhere in it? Like maybe the F would be made of a wire splitting, or something. I just would maybe like something more exciting than just text (no offense).

I know I'm being kinda picky...but I really don't mind that much.

3
Which color do you prefer before I start messing with the F and W?
Probably Orange.

4
Hey! I like it! The only thing that I would ask is can you maybe put some more emphasis on the F and the W? Otherwise, it's perfect. :)

5
Aw, Thanks, Mouser! I really appreciate the attention! :)

Yes, a logo really would be greatly appreciated.

Again, valid suggestions! I'd never thought of those!

As for the autocheck, I considered it, but I guess I never got around to it. Now that someone suggested it, I'll make sure to put it in (and it should be pretty easy.)

As for the time, I think I'll just edit the readme, rather than change it to seconds, milliseconds, etc. Really, I can't imagine wanting to launch programs 50 milliseconds apart rather than at the same time....And I believe (though I'm not sure, and too lazy ATM to find out) that you can enter decimals, like .5, and it will launch in half a minute. But I do see your point, I'll add something to the readme and GUI about it being seconds.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! :)

Written up in ghacks today!

Cool! Thanks so much!

Just to let you know, the "Pure Enigmatic Magic" part isn't really anything to do with the program....it was just something clever I came up with. It really stands for "Portable Extension Manager". And PEM doesn't even have to be running in the tray.

But I feel honored nonetheless! :D

Oops! I fixed it, I think.

But here it is anyway.

PEM is a program I wrote to handle portable programs. It essentially acts as a portable file association manager. You pick what program you want to open a certain file type, then pass that file as an argument to PEM, and it will launch that file using the program you want.

The nicest part about it is a context menu option that is very easily installed and removed. It adds an option to every file to open it with PEM, whic essentially makes it as easy as double clicking the file.

Another nice part about PEM is that it can autodetect the drive letter, so you can really take it anywhere. Check it out here:

I included the source too.

Hey! Just thought I'd let you know, I took your suggestion, lanux. I added checkboxes next to each entry, which actually does seem alot more useful than I first thought. Let me know what you think. :)

I also tweaked a few more things, even like changing where I hosted my files, so let me know if the links work. Here's the website again.

EDIT: Oops! I missed some column stuff since I moved everything over one. I just fixed it, but if you happened to download it before I did, try getting it again!

Lanux, that's a valid suggestion. I guess I just didn't want to make it too much like MSConfig, but I'll think about it. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies!

mouser, I took your suggestion. :)

lanux, thanks. The word "viable" means alot. :)

It would be cool if I could get 4 or 5 people's feedback on what they think, or if it works on their programs, etc. I've only had the chance to test it on my two comps.

Hey guiz,

This is my first every program. I wrote it in AHK a while back. It works pretty well, for what I wrote it. I use it on both of my comps. I haven't edited it much for a while. Please tell me what you think. :)

StartupSaver is a program designed to improve your computer's startup time and quality by executing programs at intervals.

PS - I know there are probably better programs out there, but I was really excited about finally learning programming and wanted to make something. It may not be as nice, but it does what it's supposed to do.

PSS - I know I have the source up for DL, but please don't look at it.....I'm such a messy coder. :P

PSSS - I hope this is the right place to post this.

Sup.

Ok, I don't use Powerpoint that much. I'm in college, and my prof posts stuff in powerpoint files every now and then, and I would like a viewer for them, and I would like it to be small, and preferably portable.

I don't think it's too much to ask. Tiny USB Office has a whole bunch of stuff, but no powerpoint, but I figure that there's gotta be one out there.

The reason I don't like Microsoft's PPT Viewer, there are a few reasons that I don't like it:
(1) You have to do full screen, so you can minimize it, go to a different program and come back
(2) I'm pretty sure it's like, the size of MS Office, at least, according to my Add/Remove Programs list.
(3) I hate Microsoft.

So that's it. Anything under 5mb, or even 10mb would be nice.

Thanks, peace out.
