Found Deals and Discounts / Re: White Smoke 70% off
« on: July 20, 2009, 09:08 PM »
hi there,

White Smoke == WinterTree Grammar checker and WinterTree spell checker.

the filenames are the same as if you downloaded from WinterTree's website.

I can defend above the statement above because I have a friend who has
WhiteSmoke, and it's very interesting that they do not even have a trial or
anything to try before you buy.

also, if you right click and see version properties on WhiteSmoke's files,
they are WinterTree grammar checker files.

URL is:
http://www.wintertree-software.com/dev/wgrammar/index.html

General Software Discussion / Re: Collectorz.com... again!
« on: March 22, 2009, 09:11 AM »

hi
two years ago,

one of my friends wrote a similar app to Alwin's collectorz application. if I remember, it was for movies collecting...
He was promptly served with copyright legal notices and websites which linked to his sites got DCMA take-down notices.

I guess Alwin is busy "protecting" his applications from competition...

Michael,
I'm a lawyer (and software developer) who advises (my clients) on legal issues.

Your conduct is completely disgraceful and typical of big-bully corporations:

1) Do you have ANY shed of evidence that code was copied? (Yes/No)

if NO --> then what's your problem?

2) Is your process patented?

if NO --> then what's your problem?

you cannot "copyright a process" or "known facts". you can only copyright your own implementation.

3) Why are you harassing a competitor in public for?

If you're doing this to make your competitor lose face -

How clever is your lawyer to defend your bad-faith actions?

- your DC RSS feed only has 5 items and forum has 30 posts in one day...
I think your RSS feed needs to show 60 posts (on average)?
