Find And Run Robot / Alphabetize the Alias Keywords?
« on: December 01, 2017, 03:11 PM »
Is there a way to alphabetize my list of alias keywords? My list is getting fairly long, making it difficult to determine if a particular keyword is already in use. Thank you.

So this is a global change and I can't have a different browser for each alias? I use IE as the default but some sites work better in Firefox.

Select which browser opens a URL

Yes -- you'll find this in the "External Tools and Plugins" tab.

Thanks mouser, but I'm new to this. What is the command to call the overide...e.g. my default browser is IE but I want to open donationcoder.com in Firefox?

Thank you.

Find And Run Robot / Open a URL - Browsers and Tabs
« on: May 16, 2013, 08:58 PM »
I searched for these answers first but didn't have any luck.

Is it possible to:

Select which browser opens a URL

and

Open that URL in the current tab or a new tab?

Thanks again!

Find And Run Robot / Sort Alias Keyword Column

Is there any way to sort the names in the alias keyword column alphabetically? It would sure make it easier to find things on that list.

Thank you.

NOTE: the help file says /winmax but then the example shows /WINMAX
one of these may work and the other not.. let me know and i'll fix help file.

They both work! /winmax /WINMAX

Thanks again!

I tried searching but couldn't find an answer to my question. Is it possible to launch a program from an alias and have the window be maximized?
Thank you!

That did it mouser! Let me know what you would like me to do with the old .ini file.

Thank you!

Everyone must be stumped  :( I tried uninstalling/reinstalling again with the same result. Guess I'm out of business.

Thanks for the quick response mouser! Windows Vista, the program has worked fine in the past and the error occurs when I first try to open FARR.

Thanks omadeon, but I don't use a plugin called KlipKeeper and I don't have a file called fscript.dll on my computer.

Find And Run Robot / Exception Error (EAccessViolation)
« on: January 22, 2010, 06:51 PM »
I am getting the following error message when I try to run FARR:

Find+Run Robot Encountered an exception error (EAccessViolation). Please report to [email protected]

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but I still get the same error. Any advice?

Thank you.

I thought I would chime in on this one. Properties does not work for me in Vista Home Premium.

Update

The latest version still continues to narrow with use.

My solution for the narrowing window involves deleting the "FindAndRunRobot.ini" file in the installation directory, and running FARR again (you have to reconfigure the program to suit your needs, though). Essentially, it's like starting with a fresh installation. That reverts the window back to its original size. I observed the latest version does not narrow the window as frequently as older ones, but it keeps happening from time to time. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the tip, but in my case I just started using FARR so it's already a brand new installation.

On your suggestion I tried numerous skins but the window stays the same. It is very narrow now, not wide enough to read the version number after "Find and Run Robot" in the title bar.

As a follow-up to my previous post, my window keeps getting smaller as time goes on. Anybody else having this problem with FARR in VISTA?

I too am having this same problem. It might just be a coincidence, but I first noticed the narrowing right after watching a movie in full screen.
