Set circle dock to a hotkey, like CTRL+ALT+Z (at least that's mine, you can pick anything)  then set your button to hit that key combination.

Should work fine.  At least it does for me :)

Vid, you rock.  Just wanted you to know that.

I redid my script to use the middle button + right button and like that more than the left + right button.   I'll be glad to post that up too, if anyone wants it.

Split from the Circle Dock 0.9.2 Alpha 7 Discussion Thread because quite a few people want this:
I've also attached my auto-hotkey script to launch circledock by holding down the left mouse button followed by pressing the right one.  Note: your circledock keyboard toggle must be set to CTRL-ALT-Z for this to work.

Thanks!  I have it running a batch file now to kick off a bunch of battery saving tricks :)

Circle Dock / Recent Programs
« on: September 04, 2008, 07:28 AM »
What might be cool to add is the ability for one ring to be the Recent Programs from the XP/Vista start menu.  That way the most frequently used programs would show up all the time in CircleDock.

Just an idea!

Great work on this!

Never mind!  I have just discovered the most excellent tool "BatteryRun" by Skrommel.  Many thanks skrommel!  works great!

Does anyone know of a program (or a way in windows task scheduler) to run a program when a laptop goes on battery?   And then another program when it comes off battery?  For Vista, btw.

I really would like to be able to run my script that turns off Aero when my computer goes on battery- it's a significant power savings.

I know of a program called Vista Battery Saver which does something similar, but isn't acceptable.  It turns off Aero, which is more severe than turning off transparency.  Turning off Aero is overkill and doesn't seem to make much difference on battery life, so I really just want a way to turn off transparency.  It seems the most flexible way to do this would be to have a method for running programs when the computer detects that it has changed to battery and then when it goes back on AC.

Thanks for any ideas/etc...

I seem to have a problem in CircleDock alpha 7.4.  I set my visibility hotkey to CTRL+ALT+Z and that used to work fine in alpha 7.2.  Now the only hotkeys I can seem to get to work are the F1-F12 keys.
