FARR Plugins and Aliases / Replacement plugin for Delicious bookmarks?
« on: December 17, 2010, 12:43 PM »
Hi Everybody,

It seems that the Delicious bookmarks service is going down today. http://thenextweb.co...delicious-bookmarks/

One of the great things about FARR has been having the ability to access bookmarks through the Delicious bookmarks plugin. This great feature will be lost once Delicious goes down. Any chance there could be a new plugin developed for one of the alternative services such as Xmarks, historiou.us, or Diigo?

FARR Plugins and Aliases / CZB Pack - Timer plugin error
« on: July 13, 2010, 10:19 PM »
UPDATE: I fixed the error by deleting the variables related to Timer under Options\User Variables and reloaded the plugin. Timer is now functioning properly.

Whenever I load FARR, I get a bluebox that shows the error message "error occured while loading C:program files\FARR\Plugins\CZB_pack\Timer\fsubscript.js; message: Expected ']' name: SyntaxError

I tried replacing the Timer plugin files in my program files directory with the originals from CZB_pack rar file, but the error still occurred. Anyone experience this error before?

Find And Run Robot / Re: Exception Error (EAccessViolation)
« on: January 22, 2010, 09:38 PM »
I was getting the EAccessViolation error at one time too, but it was only while accessing the KlipKeeper plugin. The solution to that problem is discussed in https://www.donation....msg166839#msg166839

Here is Mouser's solution to the problem and ecaradec's website for Fscript:

http://e.craft.free.fr/farr/FScript/

Hope this works for you.

The new fscript.dll works!!!

note to others who try it:
1. grab the latest fscript.dll from ecaradec's page (as of today it's fscript.1.17.dll)
2. rename it to fscript.dll
3. exit farr
4. replace any copies of fscript.dll in your farr plugins subdirectories with this new one.
(if you have multiple fscript-based plugins installed, there may be more than one copy of the dll! dont leave any files like fscript_bakup.dll or fscript.dllbackup in the directories or those dll's might get loaded)
5. restart farr

brilliant work emmanuel!

I am getting the following error message when I try to run FARR:

Find+Run Robot Encountered an exception error (EAccessViolation). Please report to [email protected]

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but I still get the same error. Any advice?

Thank you.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Return Focus to last program after FARR search
« on: September 23, 2009, 11:36 PM »
FARR does disappear after performing a search. I'm not exactly sure which program gains focus again after doing a search. On the taskbar, it seems that Firefox is activated, but if I use the keyboard to do anything (eg. Page Up, Page Down) nothing happens. I took a screen capture of my Alt-Tab menu after performing a google search and there is some unknown icon present in there. It's just a blank window with no name. It does go away after I select another program, but it consistently shows up every time I do a search with FARR. What ever it is, I'm sure that's what's stealing the focus away from Firefox. Not sure what it is though. I've enclosed a screen capture to show you what I'm talking about.

Find And Run Robot / Return Focus to last program after FARR search
« on: September 23, 2009, 03:48 PM »
I was just wondering if there's a way to return focus to the last program I was working with or to a specified program after using FARR. For example, after I do a google search or use the Delicious bookmarks plugin with FARR, a new tab is generated in Firefox, but I have to reactivate Firefox by using Alt-Tab or clicking in the window. It would be nice to forgo this step and just have focus immediately returned back to Firefox after performing the search with FARR. Any way this can be accomplished?

Is it possible to have different search results limit when activating the Everything plugin? Currently, I only let FARR search for *.lnk files and use the Everything plugin to search for everything else. I only let 5 results show on any FARR search in order to make it speedy. This 5 result limit is also active when I do a search with Everything which really isn't enough.  I tried typing +sall after the initial search, but it just searches for "+sall" instead. A means of extending the number of search results after the initial Everything search or having different search result limits for the Everything plugin would be superb.

FARR Plugins and Aliases / New Alias: MultiSearch
« on: August 27, 2009, 01:27 AM »
Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to share a simple alias I've made called MultiSearch. Typing in "MultiSearch" followed by your desired into FARR will give you the option to access Google Search, Wikipedia, YouTube, Google Images, or the Meriam Webster dictionary under the same alias.

Overall it's just a hodge podge of different aliases that were already present in FARR. Instead of having to remember different aliases, I preferred type in a single alias that contained my most used search tools.

I tied the MultiSearch alias into two keyboard hotkeys. One hotkey automatically types "MultiSearch" into the FARR window for me without any additional text. The second hotkey will clip any highlighted text to the clipboard and then type Multisearch and the clipped text into FARR.

Enclosed are an image that shows how I configured the two hotkeys in the FARR config and a .rar containing all of the icons used for the alias. Just extract the .rar to FARR directory\AliasGroups\MyCustom\

Thanks!

Find And Run Robot / Re: Klip Keeper Access Violation
« on: June 05, 2009, 11:08 AM »
does the error happen when you select or try to activate one of the kk results?
if so i believe it's a conflict with the fscript fsubscript plugins.

Hi All

Yes, the error was occurring when I was trying to select one of the active kk results.

I installed the new fscript.dll over all of the other instances of fscript.dll found in the FARR directory and Klip Keeper works fine now! Thanks for the help!

Find And Run Robot / Klip Keeper Access Violation
« on: June 05, 2009, 01:33 AM »
Greetings

I just installed the Klip Keeper plugin and when I try to use it an access violation occurs that closes FARR. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I've attached an image of the error box that comes up.

Just wanted to add that I run all my programs, find files, search google, access bookmarks, and do a ton of other things all through FARR. It's the best do everything program I've ever seen.  Thanks for developing it.

Find And Run Robot / Possible to Restore Session with a FARR alias?
« on: November 01, 2008, 12:16 AM »
I was just wondering if it is possible to create a FARR alias that would re-open the last programs and files I was working on after rebooting.

For example, if I had MS Word open with a specific document, firefox open to a few websites, and a few folders open, I would want to save the state of all these open programs with one alias. Then I could reboot, run a second alias, and restore word, firefox, and my folders.

Even if this isn't possible with all programs, it would be convenient for it to work with just open folders, at least in my case. Thanks in advance.

This is an amazing plugin that has become my primary means of searching Google. I was wondering, could you extend the plugin to work with Google Scholar as well?
