Hi 4wd,

I use Windows XP. How can I list WakeUp events there?

Best regards

Thanks a lot, 40hz.

I looked up the EventLog, but I admit I was not yet able to find out which EventID numbers are for the named power states.

Perhaps you can consider to give more information later, my question is not urgent. I suppose all the needed information is in the EventLog, but I did not find a program to read it easily. "PC On/Off Time" does not work correct, else it would have been satisfying for my purpose. I would like to distinguish between "off", meaning S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 and "on".

Result given as list, e.g.

on:2012-03-29-17.54.23
off: 2012-03-29-18.23.57
on:  2012-03-29-19.08.12
...

and so on

Hi all,

I am asking for help.

I would like to know when PC

a) has started from off or resumes from standby/hibernate
b) went off or went to standby/hibernate

for, let's say, the last 14 days.

Can anybody help? I use Windows XP.

Best regards

Yes. The code you sent makes CapsLock work like shift. CapsLock completely does not work when ShiftCap.ahk is runnnig.

I would like to restrict this behaviour to cases when CapsLock + selected Key is pressed. ShiftOff.ahk diables CapsLock when CapsLock + selected Key is pressed, but does otherwise not affect CapsLock's function. I would like ShiftCap.ahk to act in a similar way. I will try to modify ShiftOff.ahk in this way and tell.

Skrommel writes about ShiftOff: "Turns off CapsLock when Shift is pressed together with A-Z or other user defined keys." And it really does. I think most times when CapsLock is activated unintentionally it happens by accidently hitting CapsLock instead of Shift.

I therefore ask for a ShiftOff modification. When ShiftOffMod is active, Shift + Key should work as usual, CapsLock should work as usual, but CapsLock + selected Key should be equivalent to Shift + selected Key. In other words, CapsLock behaves like Shift in selected cases.

Obviously I misunderstood. Skrommel writes: "Turns off CapsLock when Shift is pressed together with A-Z or other user defined keys." So you are right, the CapsLock-Key combo is not supposed to do want I meant

Yes, I tried your script before, and this works fine. And has much more options than I need.

I would like the "pure" functionality of ShiftOff. If I understood right, when ShiftOff is active, Shift + Key should work as usual, CapsLock should work as usual, but CapsLock + selected Key should be equivalent to Shift + Key. I did not succeed in modifying/reducing your script to ShiftOff functionality only.

I corrected this. Now there is no error message, however, no effect on CapsLock, too.

Hi,

I just downloaded ShiftOff.ahk and it does not work.

When starting the script, an error message appears (zipped picture attached). I am using Win 2k. Is there anybody knowing what to do?

Best regards

Knutchen
