disable the error reporting
Thanks for that info, I had no clue about disabling the error reporting. I don't think I have ever seen it before, not as pc savy as I wish I was!
Thanks, I appreciate your help too!

Personally I'd get it out of my computer. ASAP.
It should be a smooth install with few if any problems.
And the problems easily solved because the program has been tested.
This one does not seem to have been tested much,
and possibly using gaotd to test it.

That's my impression and opinion anyway.

The free alternatives that are in the comments.
Mainly Ashampoo

and

CDBurnerXP

I guess I will have to remove it, I went by my sisters and installed it on her pc and it works fine. Not sure why mine won't work. So aggravating!
Thanks for the links for the programs, I'll check them out.
I appreciate your help!

Welcome at DC, stardustn!

Maybe you didn't notice it at the installation, but most likely you also installed the StarPort Drives trial. Try to remove the hole package and reinstall, but this time make sure not to accept StarPort.

Please report back.

Ok, I uninstalled and then reinstalled, unchecked Starport and the homepage change along the way and restarted the pc
but it still gives the same message

Still says

Starburn has encountered a problem etc etc, Please tell Microsoft about the problem.

I really appreciate your time.

windows XP running on my pc.........
Downloaded Starburn from giveawayoftheday.com and when I click on the icon to start StarBurn then a box comes up saying
Licensed to GAOTD user but then goes to a box saying.....
Starburn has encountered a problem etc etc, Please tell Microsoft about the problem.

I know it doesn't come with any support but wondered if anyone here might could help. Someone else had posted on here
that they had downloaded it also.

Thanks for any help I can get!
