i'm already a charter member, does that trump the "Lifetime Universal Deluxe."?

An additional feature would be to tell the program to memorise a folder or file.

eg.

i go to a folder or file and i can assign a particular word for that file or folder.

right now, it's only good to find programs coz it's easiest to recognise. If i have the same name for a lot of folders, it's hard for the program to distiguish between and sometimes won't even show up on the top 10. (and the fact you can't scroll down to choose something is very annoying)

Maybe everytime you open something from FARR, 1 point would be added to that particular file or folder. so if you open it a lot of times, it'll automatically be on the top of the list.

I need someone like this too~
the work timer kinda doesn't suit my need.

I need a little program where i can just type in 38 min and 9 sec and press start, and it will start to count down and the play a audio file or alarm bell when the time is up.

I can't find this ANYWHERE online.

thanks~

General Software Discussion / download monitoring in network
« on: June 23, 2006, 09:17 AM »
I need YOUR help!

I suspect i have a rouge PC thats been infected with something that'd downloading stuff like crazy.

Australian Broadband are all capped. I only get 12 gig a month to use. and once you run out, you get dialup speed. evil 56k.

anyway, i was wondering whether any of you know of any programs that can keep track of how much each computer is downloading.

I know there are programs out there that can monitor how much download and uploads the computer is doing, but since i'm on a network, most of it is just chatter between my comp and the router (correct me if i'm wrong) so the upload and download data wouldn't be very accurate.

I've just been doing normal surfing to 3 forumn sites, and the program says i've download 1.2 mb of data. Is that normal?? for 20 mins of forum surfing???

and are there any programs that can track downloads on computers in the same network? instead of me going to each computer for the readings.

thanks guys!

OMG, i have this totally awsome idea!

Don't you hate it when you get to a website and have to login everytime you go to it??

Can someone come up with a program or a plugin for mozilla firefox, that just types everything in for you.

I know you can just select to if you push down and scroll thru 10 other logins.  but this would be so much help!

I'm playing a game and need to make potions.
i have to sit here and hit the f4 key once every 1 sec. (it's got a spell cool off time T.T)

if someone can write a program that automatically "hits" the f4 key every second, it would be GREAT help~

General Software Discussion / Re: Just how bad is IE?
« on: November 29, 2005, 05:30 PM »
i personally don't have any problems with IE. i mean, i've been surfing for nearly 10 years and can't say anything has really happened to me. But then i'm not that hip about computer language and all the inside workings of a web browser, but i think as long as you don't click on stupid ads then you shoudl be fine.

General Software Discussion / Re: Lock a folder down?
« on: November 24, 2005, 04:11 AM »
one way you an hide a folder,

have the folder very deep into the directory. e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys (not very deep but couldn't be bothered loooking for a deeper one) and hide it in the properties window.

or just zip the fold up and put a password on it
