ProcessTamer / Process Tamer gets rave review
« on: April 11, 2007, 08:00 AM »
Mouser's Process Tamer is Freebie of the Month in Gizmo's Support Alert Newsletter - Issue 144, 12th April, 2007.

You can read Gizmo's glowing review here (roughly between April 15 and May 15):
http://www.techsuppo...ssues/al_current.htm

Note that the above URL is time-sensitive, i.e., it displays the current month's issue.  I would recommend subscribing to the Support Alert Newsletter. There's a free version and a paid version.

Gizmo also has very nice things to say about the whole DonationCoder concept: "It's a clever and ethical way to encourage users to recognize the work done by freeware authors and I support it fully. I donated generously and I hope you do too."

Living Room / Support Alert Newsletter recommends DonationCoder
« on: April 19, 2006, 01:15 PM »
There's a nice plug for DC in the current issue (#132, April 20, 2006) of Gizmo Richards' Support Alert Newsletter. (If you're interested, subscription info is available at http://www.techsuppo...subscribers_area.htm)

Under the "Top Tech Sites and Resources" heading, there is this blurb:
----------------------------------
1.8 Lots of Clever Free Utilities

The Donation Coder site is offering hundreds of free utilities all full-featured with no nag screens. They use a novel licensing system: you have to register to get a free license key which allows you to download any number of programs on the site. This key lasts six months after which you must return to the site to download another free license key. After a year you are given a permanent license. Alternatively, you can make a once-up donation of any size and get a permanent key straight away. It's a clever and ethical way to encourage users to recognize the work done by freeware authors and I support it fully. The quality of the utility programs offered is very high and a number are unique in what they do. Highly recommended.

Preaching to the choir here, of course, but maybe it will produce some new visitors and members.
