Hey,
Would really appreciate some feedback on my new logo designs. I've chosen the logo but having a hard time picking a font. What are peoples opinions on these fonts: https://photongamemanager.com/Test001/font%20ideas%201.png and does anyone have any tips on logo font design?

I'm currently messing around with changing my Photon Game Manager website and am trying to design a new logo/banner. My graphic design skills are somewhat lacking but I'm got something I'm partially happy with, I'd just like to get some feedback from other members on good/bad/things to change.

Announce Your Software/Service/Product / Photon GameManager V4

I posted here a couple of years ago showing off my software GameManager V3, since then I have been hard at work rewriting, updating and improving the code and I believe the newest version is so much better than anything before (this technically puts the project development time at 5 years, time fly's when you are having fun).

For those that have no idea what this program does, it is a program designed to automate the process of downloading game fan art, box art, screenshots, game info, official patches and organize the data in a functional and sleek interface, allowing you to browse, sort, filter, patch, mount and run your games.
The software is now commercial but free to try for 5 or less games. The only reason I charge for it now is I'd like to earn enough money to take some time off work so I can work on it full time.

I've been hard at work updating the code at thefreegamesdb.com and have moved it to tfgdb.com
Could I get your opinions on whats good/bad, what needs changing about the design, especially the new logo, new menu and new homepage.

DC Gamer Club / A Large Database Of Free Games

Hi guys,
thefreegamesdb.com is a large (400+) database of freeware/indie free to play games with direct download links, they are all free, legal, ad free, and most come close to big studio/publisher standards, in fact some are even big publisher games released as freeware. The site also allows anyone to add games, artwork, reviews and ratings.
Just wanted to get some feedback on the looks, usability and your general opinions about it.

Hi all,
From the developer of GameManager, I bring you the solution to you boredom, a large open database of free PC games for windows.
Currently there is around 200ish games in the database but with the help of our users we can create a huge database of games each with a direct download link.
What makes us special:
-Direct download links for all our games
-Support for fan art,cover art,screenshots and trailers
-Anyone can add games or edit games
-All links are tested and moderated making the site very safe
-All games are proper windows games and not online games
-Can filter by 3D and 2D depending on whether you want retro games or modern look games

OK that's my spam out of the way, basically this is a database I will be integrating into the next version of gamemanager and also I made because I couldn't find anything like it at the moment(If you know of any people let me know) but anyway all comments are welcome, good or bad, I think its very important to get the public's opinion on my work

Finished Programs / SOLVED: GDF File Reader

It's me again. This time I think I have a tough challenge (possibly I really have no idea how hard it is going to be).
What I require is a GDF file reader, that is Game Definition File reader.
Under Win vista and 7 games are added to game explorer using a Game Definition File usually integrated into an exe or a dll which is basically an XML file embedded into that file.
I can retrieve the data with GDFTrace.exe which is available in the DirectX SDK but this program is copyrighted under Microsoft and so I cannot distribute it with my program, Photon Game Manager.
So what I require is a small app that when given the path to the file containing the GDF then outputs the GDF information to a file (with the text formatted in any way best for you).
Note: A sample file with a GDF in it is minesweeper found at "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Minesweeper\minesweeper.exe"

EDIT: The GDF data is also available from tools like Resource Editor but I can't find a command line tool

Finished Programs / DONE: EXE File Version

Hi,
I require a simple command line executable than when provided with an argument for the path to an exe file it then saves the other version information to a txt file. For example it'll save company, file version, product name, ect ect (everything you find on the version tab when you right click and properties on an exe. Im sure this should be quite simple but using my programming language its imposible and i dont know any other languages. Its for my GameManagerV2 app to improve to exe selection routine. Ive looked all over the internet and cannot find an GNU program that will do this
