Easy Screencast Recorder / Path settings ?
« on: February 28, 2019, 04:35 AM »
Hello Mouser,

Where can I set the default path to files like logfile and .ini settings ?
After installation on a PC that is on a network, and has its userprofile on a server,
The program complaints about missing rights for creating files on that server....

Best regards

Best Archive Tool / Versions??
« on: April 19, 2010, 02:17 PM »
Nice test,

However, what were the versions of the apps, used in this test??
And how long ago was the latest update? (is the app still maintained?)
Without that info, the test doesn't tell me to much.

Backup Guide / Don't forget a regular mydocuments backup
« on: March 27, 2010, 03:18 PM »
Don't forget a regular mydocuments backup,

With "mydocuments" meaning to say, all your created work.

Greatest app for this:
   Areca    http://www.areca-backup.org   Freeware, opensource GPL
Does do delta and incremental backups, you can search within a backup, restore only 1 file from a backup, and and and . . . .

Another app for the more regular plain office user:
   Toucan   http://portableapps....pps/utilities/toucan   Freeware, opensource GPL
Is a portable app, though can also run from your PC, when copied there.

Best regards,
