Image Manager Shootout / Re: ExifPro and 3D Photo Browser
« on: January 15, 2008, 03:38 PM »
I discussed the matter of the IMHO way too limited tagging option with the programmer years ago. It's obviously not one of his top priorities.
Create several tag files, but not too many, don't get tempted to use tags as keywords. Use other software to add exif keywords instead.

Image Manager Shootout / ExifPro and 3D Photo Browser
« on: January 15, 2008, 02:03 AM »
I use ExifPro most of the time. Also there are still some tiny pieces of clumsyness in it, for example no real file/folder drag and drop, its speed makes up for this especially when organising lots of files. Enormous amount of features, great layout, perfect support. Uses EXIF thumbnails for speed. If you have a large collection of pictures without thumbnails, it's wise to use Exifer first to give them all EXIF thumbnails.

3D Photo Browser is not the best photo browser and hardly a tool to organise them, but if you have lots of 3D files as well (and probably lots of texture pictures) this is an absolute must-have.

But I'm lazy. Why two mouse clicks when a single click can do the trick. That's why I'm studying Python, Ruby and Autohotkeys. And used assembler quite a lot back in the 80's. Always hated Basic and never took the time to master C or C++ unfortunately.

It's not working here. There's a black screen with a run arrow doing nothing, a few banners and a link to a random video on youtube.infamousx.com that doesn't start either.

Wouldn't it be better if it would remove these empty folders as well?

I use Sketchup a lot, but in some cases I'm happy that I once bought Punch http://punchsoftware.com, it comes with loads of textures, furniture, plants and so on

7
Several screen capture programs are able to capture any motion in a region on screen to avi

I tested the hibernate on/off scripts and as I expected it doesn't wake up at the set time.
In hibernate mode the machine's state is only "active" as the hibersys.fil on harddisk. You can pull the plug with no effect, it'll wake up as usual. I'm even not able to charge my cell phone on USB while in hibernate.

Webster online dictionary:
http://www.m-w.com/c...ctionary&va=fuck
Etymology: akin to Dutch fokken to breed (cattle), Swedish dialect fokka to copulate
The Dutch verb is much older than the Swedish one and has no relation with the old English word for to thrust as far as I can find.
Some other words "borrowed" from Dutch:
apartheid easel cookie dapper dock landscape sketch still life filibuster loafer slim scrabble Santa Claus scone snoopy yacht yankee
and some things the English think about us...
Dutch courage: courage from a bottle
Dutch uncle: suger daddy
Dutch wife: pillow
Dutch gold: fools gold
Double Dutch : you know...
Dutch treat, Dutch party, Dutch auction....

I once had a tiny utility that did just that: place two icons in any file open, save, save as, save copy as dialog:
-favorite folders (right click on current folder added to top of list)
-recent folders that had been actually recently been used for file open/save operations

Stupid me, I lost it and hours of googling could not bring it back.
Barnacle looks like it should be simple to rewrite for this purpose, I tried but have not yet been able to come up with something anywhere near working.

Coding Snacks / Re: New Coding Snacks listing page
« on: May 04, 2007, 02:49 AM »
@ Jock Posen: Accents.exe can already do exactly that, can be found on this site, just edit the ini file.
@wreklessxx: InformEnter extension in Firefox does a much better job than auto completion.
Both: I believe your requests are a tiny bit off topic here, there is a subfolder in coding snacks called Post New Requests Here.
I'm a newbie in this forum myself and I believe:
-they don't eat human flesh
-they've already been fed

The folder bars you create by dragging folders to the edge can be configured by right clicking the dotted line, for example small icons and/or auto hide. Unfortunately once you uncheck them from the bars list, they're gone with your customisations.
You can right click your taskbar, create new bar, drop files and folders on it and customise, I believe Windows should store those settings.
