Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: Feature request: tooltip
« on: January 05, 2012, 07:43 AM »
Thanks for your reply... All I know is Clcl does it w/o ill effect :)
As an alternative perhaps an option to just make the tooltip smaller? It covers the rest of my system tray whenever I pass over it...

Clipboard Help+Spell / Feature request: tooltip

Coming from Clcl, I wish the tooltip on the notification area icon would show me the text of the most recent clip.

... it lists the captured image files on disk ...

Ah, I see. It doesn't parse spaces in pathnames then.  My data are at D:\Users\Michael\Data\DonationCoder\Clipboard Help+Spell\Database\Files and the FileList column only shows D:\Users\Michael\Data\DonationCoder\Clipboard.

Have you tried copying small images ...

Thank you, that was the key.  I had to increase the Max. XY Area.

Clipboard Help+Spell / Image capture doesn't work for me
« on: November 02, 2011, 08:42 AM »
Hello, just decided to try CHS after several year of using CLCL (major motivation - CHS is still under development :))

Two things:

I find image capture doesn't work for me.  It is enabled in settings but no images get captured by CHS (they are correctly copied to and pasted from the windows clipboard).

What does the FileList column in the main window mean? Is CHS supposed to capture lists of file names if I copy files to the clipboard? I can't find anything about htis in the doc...

This is Windows 7 32-bit BTW.

Not EVD, no... It does however have "window rules" by which you can specify which virtual desk an application opens up in, etc.

I'd like to take the opportunity to rave about a little-known virtual desktop program, Enable Virtual Desktop. It's not free, but it's only $20, and it has better features and usability than any other I've seen. It supports dual monitors, wallpapers, keyboard bindings, wallpapers, systray icons or not, and a "mini-window" of all your desks in which you can move windows from desk to desk. I really love it.

Better use of the tooltip real estate:
  • No reason to put "Process Tamer" in there, since I know which icon I'm hovering over
  • When not taming, put top two or three processes and their percentages

9
I guess if I had to suggest anything, it would be that the context menu from the icon in the system tray allowed the user to "stop taming process" or something like that.
Uncheck "Enabled"?

All right!

1.  Option to invoke config GUI from tray icon via left single-click rather than double-click
2.  Ability to resize all columns of the Processes tab

Actually that's all I can think of at the moment :)

ProcessTamer / Dialogs are not comfortable with 120 DPI
« on: April 11, 2007, 11:05 AM »
Hello,

I've just joined up and downloaded Process Tamer (recommended by Gizmo Richards). One thing I noticed is that the configuration, about, etc. dialogs are not set up so as to be readable at 120 DPI (Display Properties > Settings > Advanced)
