Living Room / PC Magazine to go all digital, no more print editions
« on: December 22, 2008, 11:02 PM »
Hello all:
              It seems like more and more newspapers and magazines are going out of business, or all digital.  I still love to site down with my morning paper and a cup of coffee.
                                                                                                       Happy Holidays to all.

General Software Discussion / Magic Jack Phone ?
« on: September 13, 2008, 12:43 AM »
I have seen this device called  MagicJack.  It looks like a big USB drive and they claim it can be used on any computer with a broadband connection.  It costs $40 for the first year, and $19.95 a year after that. When you use it a small panel pops up on the screen, with an ad on the left side.

Has anyone tried this new VOIP service?
                                                              Regards,
                                                                             Stan

Hello all;
              TENS never helped my back pain, but I have had multiple back surgery's so my case is not a typical one. I have a Spinal cord stimulator that is implanted in my back. It does help quite a bit, but it is not for everyone. I Used ANS Medical,

              The most important thing, In my opinion, is to find a good Pain Specialist that you can work with. Every case is different and it took me
years to find a good Pain Specialist.
                                                           Stay well my friends,
                                                                                              Stan ;D

I had a problem with Best Buy.com.  I ordered 2 TV sets on the web , to be picked up at my local Best Buy Store.  First set arrived in a box with
no damage, but when I took it home the entire front of the set was cracked across the top. Called Best Buy.com they said no problem, just bring it back and swap it.
    Store manager said he would not take back broken set. Was very rude, said it was .com problem and not his !  I spent 45 minutes on my cell
going up the chain of command until I got to someone who forced him to take back TV.
    He then would not sell me other TV.  I sent emails to Best Buy.com, but all they said was " sorry ,that is our system."
              I will never shop there again !

« on: September 24, 2006, 12:51 AM »
Hello all stations ;
                           For the life of me I can not remember where Windows XP stores site passwords. Also, is there Software to use to store the passwords  ??
                                                                                  Thanks,
                                                                                                   Stan :-[

The e-Puppy will read you your email and word documents! It also allows you to hear internet radio and music! The built in microphone allows you to record messages and notes. The e-Puppy also has a LED on its stomach for E-Mail notification. The e-Puppy is easy to operate, with its simple buttons and user interface.

I tried to order one. The shopping cart on the site does not seem to work.

Sounds great !  Has anyone tried it yet ? :-[

Living Room / Re: Unprotected Wireless Lans?

I can usually see 2 or 3 networks that have no protection at all. One was my neighbor, who I helped encrypy.
