Finished Programs / Re: Frameless.exe
« on: February 21, 2016, 08:59 AM »
well I just found this topic and I can't believe nobody mentioned Custom Desktop Logo
you can use a stacks of .pngs in the same folder for creating the animation still perfectly working on my W7 !

Developer's Corner / Re: KOApproach is now "open source"
« on: September 19, 2014, 12:47 AM »
Thanks for the feedback Edward and Jibz !

well I can say that the KOApproach free limited version is still perfectly working on my XP with .NET Framework 2
and naturally on W7 with .NET 3.5

Developer's Corner / KOApproach is now "open source"
« on: September 18, 2014, 11:34 AM »
KO Approach was shareware until February now is "open source" !

well I really cannot imagine to use Windows without running this application
actually I paid for the full version but migrating to W7 I found that the validation procedure is not more usable
any way the free limited version is still there >
http://www.ko-sw.com/Products/Approach/

I contacted the developer Kirill Osipov well he was so kind to give me the link to the source code ...
https://github.com/k...pch/tree/master/_src

My bad I really don't know how to use a source code

I hope the good developers here can give me some advice or instructions

or best of all have the time to compile the open source application KOApproach from the source code
(the full version without limitations)
https://codeload.git...do/koapch/zip/master

thanks in advance !

Circle Dock / Re: (solved) 2 instances of Custom Desktop Logo ?
« on: March 16, 2012, 03:09 PM »
first of all I posted here coming from the Support link of this great application at http://customdesktoplogo.wikidot.com/
... in the end I cloned the folder of the last version and moved the duplicate into another main folder
now I have CustomDesktopLogo into "Program Files" and another one into "Programs"
and they can run with different settings at the same time !
why ? because I couldn't find another similar application running animated images + alpha\tranparent mode
 many thanks to the developer for the great hard work !!

Circle Dock / (solved) 2 instances of Custom Desktop Logo ?
« on: March 15, 2012, 08:57 AM »
I searched around but I didn't found an answer to the question: how to run 2 instances of CustomDesktopLogo with 2 different setting
I already tried to start 2 different versions from two different folders but changing the settings of the second was always overwriting the first one ...
any tip will be appreciated ! thanks

sorry for the delay skwire but I had to reformat and now I'm very busy rebuilding my "new" XP
 I'm sure it's OK !!  Many Thanks :)

7
You are the man !
thanks skwire ! btw the (Trans)Lucidity icon was a very good success (more than 2000 downloads in 50 days on Wincustomize  :D

8
many thanks pilgrim !!  :D
ops ... actually I also needed the "no taskbar" and the "on top" features  :-[

I just don't need the second kind of transparency (the window one)

btw I made the shot running EasyEye  and this is my new idea: the avatar near the clock like the upcoming Windows 8 !  ;)

Yep maybe I am a little late ...
I used EasyEye Picture Viewer and I didn't like the taskbar entry

I really would like Frameless version 1.0.3 the one "+ Handles transparency in PNG files"
but all the old versions  links are pointing to the last 1.0.5 version
any chance ?

here I am with the link to my upload on Wincustomize http://www.wincustomize.com/explore/objectdock/17134/  ;)

at the moment it's still in moderation ...
sorry for the delay but I had to re-upload the skin without the Lucidity.exe embedded (on respect of new rules on Wincustomize) anyway now it's in the gallery
... and the link was not the same  !! but finally I noticed and now it's updated !

well well really a great work !!
just to remember that if you prefer any transparent level not in the tray menu, you can always use (as in the previous version) the config.ini file, actually I use: trans=22
I also like to mention that the icon is featuring my real desktop wallpaper: a modded version of "Walking with Orion " by the great artist Jeff Quick (his kind permission will be enclosed in my upload on Wincustomize)

Wow, that's great skwire !!  :P
Yepp exactly what I meant = Lucidity  !
Well I'm a skinner and surely I'll going to create a new icon dedicated to Lucidity
also with your permission I would like to upload the icon on my Wincustomize Gallery with your application embedded,
giving full credits to you and the direct link you will suggest me (I already did something similar with EmptyBin  )

Many many thanks for your great work !
I will update soon with the icon trial ...

Many thanks for the suggestions skwire, it's really a good idea to use the batch files !
there is just 1 step to add the wallpaper.bmp cannot be used as it is, first I should convert it into .PNG

btw do you know the commandline to set an image as desktop wallpaper (best of all: stretched )

Finished Programs / DONE: Foreground wallpaper
« on: June 27, 2011, 02:34 PM »
I created a transparent effect with the application DeskProjection  (abandoned but you can find it on majorgeeks here )

as you can see in my screenshot the image on top is the same of the desktop wallpaper and the opacity is set to 20%
my request is an application similar to DP but able to automate the process to pick the wallpaper.bmp in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Applications data\Microsoft

or on the contrary to be able to set at the same time as the foreground working image as the matching desktop wallpaper

thanks for any help ! http://s674.photobucket.com/albums/vv101/frankelll/?action=view&current=Screenshot-27_06_2011183905.jpg

good morning !
now in Registry:User\Run I have this permanent new entry
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox" -turbo
I also noticed that my old Firefox startup entry (disabled by AnVirTaskManager) was in Registry:Machine\Run maybe this made the difference !
sorry to not be of any help regarding the main topic ,
have a nice day everybody !  :)

So strange I already checked Minimize to Tray Plus but probably all my tries were on the portable version not the Firefox (3.6.16) default system browser as finally I did this time ! well Curt you made my day !!
I will be very pleased if you will find something you like (especially icons also animated for Firefox !) on my free Wincustomize gallery  http://frankell.wincustomize.com/
many thanks again !! :P
