Tips and Tricks

Tip:

Make sure you have at least one rule that actually WRITES output to an output file!  It's not enough to simply discard lines you don't want.  When you create a new project, by default Web Log Filter will add a rule at the end saying to write the current log line to the file Output.log.

Tip:

Assemble your script from entries in the Preset Rules Menu.  Add your own rules there by creating simple .txt files in the Rules subfolder.

Tip:

Most fields (like referer) use - for a blank value.
