I am looking for a good website or package that will give you a good tutorial or introduction into basic electronics and electronics theory. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I work around a lot of electrical equipment in the satellite communications industry, and I think that I should have some sort of a clue when it comes to electricity.

Anyways, thanks in advance! smiley

Just missed the boat with me.  I just gave away most of my EE books from college.  I kept a few but felt I would never go back to an EE job again so keeping 10's of books that weighed a ton made no sense.

Maybe start here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ki/Electrical_engineering

Then here:
http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/
(looking through quickly seems like a good source and brings back a lot of memories)

I have never looked for such a website, so I cannot recommend one. However, I learned electronics from the books and kits and Radio Shack. The Forrest Mims books are great and you can get them there. I learned enough from those to know all of the electronics stuff when I go my amateur radio license.

The kits, as a kid, were so much fun.  I remember making my own logic probe, which I thought was so cool

Here's a game that taught me about logic gates when I was a kid:

Funny thing is when I was a kid I wrote an application, for the Apple IIc, to do various  calculations like ohms law, power law, and some AC formulas.  Who would have thought that I would come full circle and end up programming.  That was my first and last application I ever wrote until I started programming some years back.
