Ed Bott says if you are planning on buying an LCD monitor, you need to check out this thread at the AnandTech forum, and i can see why.  Looks like a ton of up-to-date details, information about what to look for, and a nice concise recommendation section for people who don't have 300 hours to analyze charts.  Good stuff.

...but have 600 hours for reading 110 pages of forum posts on the subject? tongue

well, looks like the first post is continually updated - "Last Updated: Wednesday, December 16, 2007"

it's nice to see other info too like
how to calibrate & clean (including recommendations for calibration equipment)
and post-purchase info that you rarely see in reviews
also examples of models where manufacturers have used good display on initial release & swapping with inferior later

smiley it really is super thumbs up

Still few review for Acer P223w. i'll just put it here. i bought one yesterday after my hard research days about LCDs battling with HP, LG and Samsung for price and value. everything are just great btw. the issues about the screen resizing @1680X***(i found on other review) is all about the "video card" driver is not updated. one thing i noticed that when I'm using the DVI inputs, the screen is zoomed in. the LCD is still using 1280X*** while the video adapter resolution is @ 1680X1050 in DVI mode. or maybe i haven't yet figure it out. tested some clear HD movies and games and no ghosting effect or not really an issue here.
